Unbelievable Rip-off
Daughters a/c stopped working. She paid the call out $140 and waited a week for them. Her father an ex a/c mechanic, had a look and advised it needed a solenoid and could do with new filter filter pads. When Metropolitan arrived, they confirmed this and added that they would also replace the ‘dump valve’ Quoted nearly $5K !!!!!! Her Dad then decided to do it with the help of an electrician mate. Cost of valve and filter pads was $380 , carton of beer for sparky, 1/2 hr; job done !!! Unbelievable rip-off avoided
