Disappointing - go elsewhere if you can
I was making a 2.5 hour journey to pick a car up that I had put a deposit on, by train, during my journey I was made aware that the car was not ready for collection, despite the promises that it would be. The car, despite being shown without defect on the website, had a large impact dent on its passenger side which I viewed. This garage also advertises delivery but I was told a couple of different reasons why delivery was not an option currently. Having no option, I carried on my journey and the garage kindly agreed to pick me up from the station and a sales person who was perfectly pleasant assisted in looking at other vehicles, one which I did purchase, however the process took hours during which I wasn't offered any hot beverages and had to ask for water. The car I eventually purchased has a couple of issues not identified in my test drive which I need to follow up with customer services, not looking forwards to that but hopefully they will prove me wrong. The car was not provided with a log book or owners manual and I have had to ask them to provide a copy of the MOT and service certificate which was shown to me on the system but not provided, I still haven't received it. The garage uses the AA check system, so they say but I wonder now how these standards are monitored, especially given the relaxed attribute to the provision of imprudent doc and info and state of the cars outside the repairs / service garage, many with the windows open and therefore both exterior and interior of the cars were covered in thick dust. FYI, I did receive a slight discount on the price for the inconvenience but no real apology. My advice is that if you do choose to shop here, do so only if you can't find anything local to you and be aware - my experience was really poor and I came away exhausted and a little more than concerned about my purchase.
