I am a first time homebuyer and my RICS survey came back with the roof being a Red rating that needed additional inspection. I called up PP to tell them that I was looking for some insight on the roof and to better understand the extent of the issue as well as how much it would be to fix. They were quick to book in and I was excited to get this moving. The roofer called me the day of and said "the roof is fine" and gave me 5 lines of feedback on the report. It was even less detail than the homebuyers survey and also very clearly incorrect. There was a picture of a missing tile in the survey and the inspector didn't address that at all. There was a flat roof area which he didn't even look at because it was "too high" even tho I"d asked specifically about the flat roof condition. When I reached out to PP about this - they basically said that I had booked the wrong service and hadn't booked the "pre purchase survey" even tho I had called. up customer service and was under the impression that they were going to do a proper roofing survey. When I followed up on this - there was absolutely no effort to address the issue. I was blamed for it all and there was zero effort to try to make things right. I have loads of other surveys to book as part of this process and I am glad that I understood the level of (bad) service I would get from PP before booking the rest of them with PP. I was looking for a partner I could trust to help me navigate the surveys / quotes I needed. I was sorely disappointed.
