Hired with Top Car before, no sight of previous recorded damage in paperwork, queried that and told not to worry. This month, no previous recorded damage in paperwork. Car inspected substantial damage to door, rear wing and wheel hub. Many thousands of pounds worth. Hertz inspected it: told damage not seen that morning when car returned by previous hirer. So, between previous hire and mine someone, I’d guessed an employee, had caused significant damage hoping to pass the blame onto the next hirer. I hired cars in Spain (pre Covid) monthly. Rarely a problem with damage found, now every time we’re being scam’d, or, an attempt (see my previous reviews). They are struggling to make ends meet is my guess so will attempt to to rip you off. As I said with Centaurus (cost me €300) take HD photographs and challenge every small dent, especially wheel rims. They’ll take the money but make no repair. That said Top Car are better than the rest. Be warned, you can drive for 40 years and never get a scratch at home, hire a car in Spain it’ll get damage. That said, necessity means I’ll hire next time I go, if Covid allows.
