Home Bargains on Line "oh dear"!
Home Bargains on Line oh dear! Home Bargains are a great brand on the High Street and we shop there twice a week. Products are good and the staff and service is great. So when I decided to buy a bed on line and Home Bargains had the one I wanted, it appeared a no brainer. But what a total disaster Home Bargains ' On Line' are. The service is useless, they do not comply with their own terms and conditions, and give misleading information. On one hand they say they are unable to accept cancellation and issue a refund, which their terms and conditions state only happens when the item has been dispatched. Yet in their response to my email they say it is at the 'picking stage' which means it is still in their possession at their warehouse. A week on and three days since i compained, I still have no tracking information, because Home Bargains do not know where the bed is and presume it is still being 'picked'. My advice to Home Bargains is to cease operating on line as they are total amateurs at it. The service and success on the High Street has not been transferred to its on line business. To any one considering them to purchase an item on line, first ask them which delivery system will apply, is it the 4 day or the 10 day one?. If you can get a straight answer ( which you wont) good luck. So do not presume that a successful High Street brand will mean the same on its on line operation. Five days later and still no news other than an email today from and I use the term loosely, 'customer services'. Six days ago I was told they could not issue a refund because the item was still at the 'picking' stage whatever that means. But their own terms and conditions state that it is only the item being dispatched that would prevent a refund.Nowever todays email informed me that a third party was involved, and they were trying to establish where the item actually was. So the claim earlier that the item was at the picking stage was misleading and at the very least inept.Needless to say I gave them an ultimatum to issue a refund by close of business today, and if that did not happen they will be hit with a court writ tomorrow. I still await a response, although I am not inclined to believe a word they say. Day 13 since I ordered a Jaybee bed, still no bed, no refund, and no response to my emails. Hard to believe that the Home Bargains we know on the High Street, has such an inept, useless, and totally disinterested attitude in its on line customers. They really need to appoint a CEO who actually knows what he or she is doing, because the present one certainly doesn't.
