Complete lack of professionalism

Easily one of the worst sales experiences I’ve had in years. From the moment we arrived, the lack of professionalism was obvious. We walked up to the desk and weren’t acknowledged at all. I had to interrupt a young salesman who was glued to his phone, and even then, we weren’t greeted properly. I mentioned we’d seen a couple of cars online, and rather than offering any assistance, he vaguely gestured toward the back lot and told us to “go find them.” The rear car park is huge, completely disorganized, and frankly chaotic. Not the kind of place where you can just casually find a car without help. After about five minutes of searching, I came back in and gave him the registrations. His reaction was like I’d asked him to move a mountain. Huffing, puffing, and visibly irritated. During the test drive, he said absolutely nothing and clearly knew next to nothing about the car. When we returned, I asked to see the second car we’d come for, and again, his reaction was begrudging at best. He left us waiting around for 15 minutes while he chatted with his mates, only to come back claiming the car had “disappeared.” Seriously? Eventually, he found it, but it was in a terrible state. The car was filthy, hadn’t been valeted, and was clearly not the “ready to drive away today” condition it was advertised as. There were even used drink cans left inside. On the second test drive, I asked if I could take the car on a dual carriageway to test it properly, and was told I wasn’t “allowed.” They apparently have a strict, set test drive route. Never heard anything like it. After returning, the salesman went to ask his manager if we were “allowed” to take it further, but by then I’d had enough. Despite actually liking the car, the experience was so appalling that I told both the salesman and manager they’d lost the sale. The manager’s response? “Ok, bye then.” Not even a hint of professionalism, courtesy, or care. From start to finish, this was a shambles. A complete failure in basic customer service from both sales staff and management. It’s no surprise they can’t seem to get beyond a 4-star rating, which should be easy to achieve in this industry with even half-decent service. Avoid this place. Awful, awful service.
