Complete waste of time to even order anything.
I placed an order 2 weeks ago and paid $88.00 EXTRA for guaranteed delivery before Christmas. All they did was charge my credit card 2 weeks ago. They haven't done a single thing on my actual order - like making and shipping the basket. I've called and called them for the last 7 days. They do not answer phones. Then I leave messages but they don't return calls either. I finally gave up today, reversed the charges, and ordered a replacement basket from a different company. Don't even waste your time placing an order with Hazelton's, unless you just feel the need to loan them money off your credit card. EDIT: The events after my initial review are even more disturbing than the events above. So, I had reversed the charges for the Hazletons order, and purchased and received a basket from their competitor. All good with that one. However, when Hazletons got the notice that I had reversed the charges, they hurried up and shipped a replacement to me. But the replacement wasn’t even remotely close to what I originally ordered from them. My original order was to contain 2 sets of specialty beer, and 10 other types of items that included candies and pastries from Europe, specialty cheeses and biscuits from Europe, and a really nice carving board with a chrome knife with a nice serving tray, all in their largest elaborate basket that was almost 36 inches wide. I spent just over $250 for the basket, PLUS $88 additional for 2-day shipping. I ordered on December 20, to make sure I had it by December 24. Their “replacement” in reality consisted of a 12 inch Easter Basket, 1 small bag of Heath bars, and a small bag of something similar to Trisquits. It was $35 worth of materials at best, and arrived January 21. THEN they argued with my credit card company, saying they did ship, and I did receive, my basket, providing the shipping records for the hideous thing they sent a month late. Downgrading me from a $250 basket to a $35 basket, and downgrading me from $88 2-day shipping to free shipping via Turtle or Camel. And guess how much money they refunded me for all of their downgrades??? ZERO. ZILCH. NULL. So they received $358 total from me for a $35 product. Quite a profit margin. And they sent the $35 basket shipping records to my credit card company to prove they shipped something to me. SO I HAD TO PAY FOR IT ALL. NOT A SINGLE PERSON FROM HAZLETONS WOULD SPEAK ON, OR EVEN ANSWER THEIR PHONE. If you have extra money that you just need to flush down a toilet, then throw it out your car window while you’re driving instead of paying ANYTHING to Hazletons. At least if you throw it out your car window, then someone will pick it up and make it useful for something.
