Beautiful watches that don't function properly
Since purchasing this watch, I have had repairs done 3 times, which have not made overall improvements to the watch. My first repair was to clean out iron shavings which appeared inside the watch when being wound up. During this repair, the servicing company (Mistal Time Services) flipped the moving front mechanism of the watch (which was the most beautiful aesthetic part of the watch) without telling me. After complaining that my watch had been sent back to me with flipped parts, I was told this was being done to all watches that come for repair as the mechanism is known to have problems keeping accurate time in Earnshaw watches and this was supposed to fix it. However, the watch is still fast by ~5 minutes every 2-3 weeks and now the overall look of the watch is worse than when originally purchased. My latest repair was in April this year, to replace the glass dome for a scratch and replace the watch strap with a genuine earnshaw strap. Today (October of the same year), I have complained to the repair company as the strap holding parts have completely come apart). I have spent over £150 in repairs for a watch that cost £319.00 within 3 years. Whilst I'm sure the repair company bears some responsibility for this, I am quite certain that Earnshaw Watches are at fault for providing components that don't work or fall to pieces. It is a huge shame, as Earnshaw Watches look fantastic I receive a lot of comments about the watch when I am wearing it. But I have not been able to recommend it to a single person due to the issues I have faced.
