Great experience, but I have some constructive criticism about scheduling and advance notice for vacation time
When we first started using Regain (a couple's therapy branch of BetterHelp), I didn't realize it was a part of B.H. I liked the interface and foudn the video calls easy to join. I do, however, have a few complaints. You can only schedule your next appointment after your currently scheduled appointment is over. Which means that if your appointment is later in the week (like Th or Fri), availability for the following week might already be claimed by people who had appointments Mon-Wed! It makes it tougher for us to schedule. Therefore I'd like to be able to schedule two weeks in advance rather than just one. It makes my availability a lot more predictable for my job. But yeah, we liked the person we were matched with, and we really got a lot of value out of our sessions. I think a little clarity as to what the messaging option is for (outside of practical things like scheduling questions) would be helpful. For example, am I expected/encouraged to talk in the chat as I would in therapy - about things that come up in my daily life? Some expectations would be nice. Finally, I wish that we had some advance notice that our therapist would be going on vacation this summer. We only found out when our Thursday appointment happened and we were going into the website to schedule our next appointment for the following week and saw there was no availability. A little more advance notice would have been nice - and more professional. I definitely think therapists deserve to take vacation too; I just think the system should be updated to improve user experience.
