The worst utility company
The worst utility company. After moving into a property that had no meters Maxen Power had these installed on the 16th December. The electric was turned off at the DB instantly as the building is unoccupied and the gas engineer has not attended yet to connect the gas so it is impossible for any gas to have been used. I have just received a bill for December for £609.49 including the whole month of Decembers standing charge (31 days) when the meters were only installed for 16 days at £2 per day plus ridiculous gas and electric usage even though proof was sent of both meters showing they had not been used. After calling this morning they confirmed the bills were wrong but only because I questioned them. They then sent a new bill out for £175 still with 31days standing charge for each meter. This is after having to pay £4k deposit as the previous tenant left in arrears and £450 for each meter install. Stay clear of this company and ignore the fake reviews.
