Underestimated the number of boards…
Underestimated the number of boards required to make their quote appear more competitive. They assumed no wastage (ie the boards would fit perfectly to the space without any off cuts) which is obviously not the case, as the rooms are not a multiple of the dimensions of the boards. This meant their quote seemed more competitive than others, when in reality, if it was accurate, it would have been similar. This only really became clear after delivery, at which point it was too late to switch to another system. Dom Hall, account manager, he said the best they can do is 15% off additional boards. So now I have to swallow an additional £400 of cost that wasn’t in the original quote, that should have been. Update - 22 April - was called by a friendly lady from customer service who apologised for the mistake and said they would refund the delivery charges, and look into why the system didn’t allocate sufficient materials to complete the job.
