BMW iX1 xDrive 30 M Sport 15 Metres Cable
BMW iX1 xDrive 30 M Sport 64kWh to be charged at home on a single phase electricity supply using maximum 7.4kWh and 32amp charging cable. Charging cable was delivered quickly within 2 working days. Car was delivered on 20 December. Charging cable used for the first time on 23 December. I required a 15 metre length cable to ensure the cable reaches the car at the end of the drive whereby the charge point is kept inside of the garage. Quality of cable seems great, car battery charged from 32% to 80% AC power supply, single phase, in 5 hours. Cables works fine and time will reveal its durability. I am pleased with the cable length and material. The reason I chose EV Cable Shop is the reviews on Trust Pilot, the website content and layout, and IP55 rating and safety markers. Researching charging cable suppliers for over 2 weeks. Constructive feedback to EV Cable Shop: 1. It would be helpful and informative if the IP rating was written on the charging cable. 2. It would be helpful to reassure customers if the credibility of the cable supplier was reported on the website. 3. European electrical safety standards met by cables would be useful to know. 4. It would be nice if cable handles on each end were available in all black colour. 5. Clarity on the website whether a three phase cable can be used in a single phase supply.
