A South American Adventure to Remember
This was an excellent holiday packed with unforgettable highlights, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a holiday with a difference. The itinerary was full on, but every moment was worth it. We were rewarded with amazing experiences, including Machu Picchu, the mountains and lakes of the Andes, a captivating tango show, the imposing Iguazu Falls, the famous Christ the Redeemer, and Sugarloaf Mountain. There were so many great moments that it’s hard to choose a favourite. Our group was quite large—35 people—but we were very fortunate to have an exceptional tour guide, Darren Wheatly, who managed the schedule and events superbly. His organization and expertise made everything run smoothly. The only downside was the group size, which was larger than expected. This was my fourth tour with Titan, and this was the biggest group by far. I suspect this may be due to Saga’s influence, as Titan has typically kept group sizes much smaller in the past. Despite the numbers, we were lucky to be part of such a wonderful group of people where everyone got along well. Overall, a truly enriching and well-organized holiday experience! Edited in response to Titans comments. I think my comment about the group size was taken a little out of context (Titan never used to have groups this size), The size of the group does not bother me per se. My concern was the effect that a large group can have on the holiday organisation. This holiday must have been complex to organise and manage, we had an excellent tour manager who kept everything on track, if the tour guide had less experience then with such a large group this may not have gone so well. There was a lot that could have gone wrong. Also we were fortunate that everyone in the group got on very well, this is quite remarkable given the size, 35 people. I think the larger the group the greater the risk of there being some discord. These were my concerns at the start of the holiday but fortunately quite unfounded. Titan have an excellent reputation for delivering quality tours, this is my fourth, which reflects that and I will continue to use Titan until they let me down. I do expect that day to come, as since you have merged operations with Saga your number of 1 star reviews has increased significantly (currently 17%), many of them are for admin issues rather than the actual tour but there are some tour related as well. On a positive note I would like to mention Divyasri Sridar, she was an enormous help in helping me to choose and organise this holiday, she was also able to help answer and resolve several queries in the lead up to the holiday. So from my perspective I can not criticise the admin. However, I do fear for Titan's future reputation because you appear to be drifting down the Saga's level rather than lifting Saga's up to yours.
