3 months in and truck doesn’t run and they told us oh well even with top tier coverage.
At first they were helpful and on their game. We are now Three months in and we have had our truck in the shop 4 times. We paid extra for the top coverage and it still covers nothing. They do not reimburse for tow’s if the fix doesn’t fall under the “warranty”. I also understand vehicles needing repairs but we have been forking money out on repairs since the return policy was up. My truck that I’m paying good money for has sat as a heavy paper weight in my driveway because it doesn’t run!!! Drivetime has scripted responses and does nothing to help you unless it’s to take your money. (Which we pay on time and never missed a payment) I will be going to the BBB, the Ohio Attorney General’s office, the consumer financial protection bureau, and the federal trade commission with my complaints about this business. We can’t say lemon law because it is a used car and over 15k miles. So, since drivetime is of no help the only options we have is to file the complaints. It’s a shame because I once thought highly of this company till we ran into issues and we pretty much were told it is what it is. Be careful buying a car from them.
