Biggest mistake I made was buying a LG insta Fridge Freezer. Steer clear of LG. Worst after sales service ever received. Bought a fridge freezer and had a issue with the ice dispenser - Still under warranty, was told I had to take the ice box out, which wouldn't come out. I was advised to defrost the unit! Ok, so what about all the food in there? Why can't you send a engineer to come round and sort, surely you would have the means? I was advised LG don't do this. What a farce. I asked for a formal complaint to be logged I was told twice a complaint had been logged and someone would call back with 48hrs. 4 days and nothing.i had no choice but to defrost and throw out the ruined food. 4 days later, LG call and say they'll send an engineer round. Why couldn't this have been done initially! Also advise if I wanted to complain I would need to put my issue in writing...excuse me! I was told twice in my initial call a complaint had been logged. Not the case! So I was lied to! Sent a letter of complaint to their CEO...received a reply today and they basically advise it was done to me to make arrangements for the food before I defrosted the unit or should have eaten some if it...Seriously! Exactly where shall I store everything! No comment as to me being lied to What a joke! Have escalated the matter to trading standards as clearly LG have no idea about customer service.
