Quitting Smoking? Look somewhere else to save $.
Heads up to anyone considering using doctoralexa.com to obtain a Chantix prescription to stop smoking. From what I understand the usual course of treatment with Chantix is 90 days (which is the initial 30 day starter pack plus two 30 day continuation packs). When I tried using doctoralexa.com I was informed by them that I wouldn’t be getting a prescription for the full 90 days, but only the initial starter pack. If I wanted prescriptions for the two 30 day continuations (which are required for the full course of treatment) it would be another $35 each. So instead of $40 for the prescription the total would be $110. I opted not to move forward with them and requested a refund. I’m not sure if they have a general “no refill” policy but this was my (negative) experience with the company. FYI - If you look around you will find that doctoralexa.com’s online competitors will only charge the initial one time fee which includes the starter pack plus refills, which would be a savings of $70+. I haven’t gotten my refund yet but will update my review if/when I do.
