SMSTS
The SMSTS trainer was authentic and worked hard to ensure we acquired the relevant information needed to pass the exam, but also emphasised the importance of the material being presented in adhering to legislation and ensuring the welfare of those on site. The week course was very intense and the method of teaching was primarily reading through sections of the handbook, interspersed with reading wordy power point slides (there was also a daily group activity which formed part of the assessment and the odd video). I think CST should invest in making it more interactive, hard hitting and enjoyable.
