Sustainability for health and weight loss
I signed up for nutrition coaching with the mindset of - ok this is a challenge, let's do this, drop 10 pounds and move on. What I have learned is this is about your health from the inside out. The weight loss and inches off come but it comes at a healthy rate, not at a 30 day challenge rate. It comes from a sustainable rate. My body did not drastically lose 10 pounds in a month and regain, and then I would look for the next plan. I have lost weight at a rate that my body has become accustom to. My body is not looking for the weight it lost because this is the new normal. My body adjusted and recalibrated as I lost weight. It did not go into shock! During my experience I was never truly hungry because nothing is restricted. I learned the more protein I have, the less hungry I am in the upcoming days. I learned how valuable fiber is. Most programs don't even talk about fiber. When I really started focusing on fiber, I found that is when my waist line and belly started to shrink. PLT nutrition is for the long haul. Its foundations are for the rest of my life. I could have done a 30 day challenge somewhere to lose 5-10 pounds but they would come back and then the cycle starts. There is no short cut but learning sustainability is the key! Give yourself the gift of time and it will pay you back!
