I was scammed by Home Bargains
Today (29th of October) I went to Home Bargains in Lincoln, on Tritton Road. I am not really going to Home Bargains very often, maybe 3-4 times per year. I like checking my receipt after paying, but as I bought so many goods (spent £159.03), I couldn’t check if the person at the till scanned my goods correctly in the shop. However when I came home, I decided to check my receipt and I found that they had scanned Belgian Choc Stirrers ASTD 3 times instead of 2. I bought only 2 items of Belgian Choc Stirrers, but I was charged and paid for 3. Just I am trying to understand how the cashier managed to scan 3 Belgium Choc Stirrers when they were scanned one by one….it seems an item was scanned twice instead of once? Just wondering if it is usual practice at Home Bargains to choose and scan one item twice who buys many goods for larger sum of money as they know that nobody will notice and they will get away with this? Just wondering how many people they have scammed like this? Also not everyone checks their receipt, so they don’t even realise that they have been scammed….Well, it means I haven’t saved anything by going to Home Bargains as I was scammed by them….very disappointed….so from now I will better stick to the shops where I can scan my goods myself!
