Deposit not returned
First and foremost I hate to even go this route but I have exhausted all means up to this point. I vacated a Darwin home rental property on 28 August 2024 and was told I would receive my deposit within 14 days. As of 26 September 2024, I did not receive my deposit. I have sent at least 10 emails seeking immediate assistance in this manner with no resolve. How can a company not have a phone number were a complaint can be escalated or to speak with someone to resolve a matter. When it was time for me to sign my lease they were the nicest, accessible, and responsive people. Darwin responds with they mailed a check to on 11 September. Why would you mail a check to me? You did not receive my deposit via mail, and I provided the Darwin ACH form that was sent to me for the security deposit to be refunded the way it was sent to you. This validates Darwin’s unprofessionalism. In fact I never provided an address to send a check to so how could this be true. This is senseless.
