We came into this home the evening of…
We came into this home the evening of November 1st. The toilet bowls were disgusting, all the tanks looked like they were full of dark blood. The water is putrid, kitchen ceiling leaks, dishwasher poured out water when I tried it. The ovens haven't been cleaned, a couple of blinds broken, heat did not work on the north side of the house, leaks in the basement that have gotten worse, the list goes on. It took a month to get the heat fixed, and I want to say 3 weeks for the dishwasher and faucet in the master that was leaking to get fixed. I would use the Property Meld as instructed via email by the PM. Emailed him several times with no response because nothing was getting done through Property Meld. When he finally did reply (would not call) his response was you have to use Property Meld then we would use it and the orders would get cancelled. If I was not treated like a unintelligent pain in the butt woman. Maybe the things that were stored in the basement would not have been ruined. (Which is still leaking from somewhere) and maybe if the kitchen ceiling had been fixed I would not have lost additional items. Still have not heard back as to if we can use the fireplace in the living room due to the creosote. We have replaced kitchen knobs due to the existing ones being broken. We put carbon monoxide detectors in (thought the owner or property manager was responsible for that). Put light bulbs in almost every light socket due to missing bulbs or not working ones. Had to clean the toilet tanks and they are still not free of rust/iron. Still no replacement knob for the stove top which is disgusting along with the vent-a-hood filters. This house was not and is still not after 5 weeks fixed as it should have been to begin with. My husband showers at work. He purchased a shower head with a filter in it so I can tough it out and shower with the stinky water. We brush or teeth in the kitchen with the reverse osmosis water. Can't do laundry in fear of our clothes smelling. Have already lost at least $90 in brand new white towels that are now Rusty beige. Have spent in total so far $140 in taking our clothes to the laundromat. The plumber did come out and snaked the lines (very nice and professional), the sump pump was replaced as well but again, there is still water in the basement. The plumber said that anoid rods would help with the smell (no reply on that yet either). We have treated the well for the smell too (needs to be treated again). My husband was also told to be sure to change the furnace/ac filters. We went and bought the pleated ones as instructed. The one that was in that we replaced...... Dark gray, not replaced in a very long time. I could go on and on..... The nice driveway now has oil spots from where the maintenance man has parked. Still waiting on things to get resolved. Sad, especially with the amount of money it cost to move in here. Could be a nice house if things were getting fixed. You never know when or if things will get approved to be fixed or when and if they will show up when they say they will.
