A Day Trip to Ripon and Helmsley on 3rd…
A Day Trip to Ripon and Helmsley on 3rd July. Booked trip for three friends and myself. Left Sunderland at 9.30 picked passengers up in Teeside and arrived in Ripon at 11.30 were given 2 hours , asked to be back for 1.30. Then travelled an hour to Helmsley arriving at 2.30 and were given 1 hour 15 mins as coach would be leaving at 3.45. Lots of disgruntled passengers. I feel too much time travelling total 5 hours and only 3hours 15 minutes for visiting. Many felt the second stop was unnecessary . We didn't see that much of Ripon and after the walk from Coach park into Helmsley went for our first cuppa that day and back to coach. A long day driving which I think most passengers thought should have just been to Ripon. A very disappointing day trip, there was a lot to see in Ripon and our day would have been much more enjoyable spending our time there.
