I do not like companies that respond…
I do not like companies that respond quickly once they see a Trustpilot review stating - please contact us directly and then nothing happens - no follow up nothing. See my earlier review Hi Thanks for responding so promptly to my Trustpilot review: Company wouldn't answer the phone to arrange shuttle from airport despite being called within the 'required' operating hours timeframe. Goldcoast depot wouldn't 'pick up' the phone to arrange collection from airport and therefore I was transferred to a central team whom was extremely rude on the phone. I eventually had to get a cab from the airport at my expense - having been travelling almost 24 hours. The car provided was battered, filthy, scratched and embarrassing - THEN the car wouldn't even start. Staff member (one guy present to cover the whole site) was then frantically running around to find another car from the pool - ended up with one that was cleaner externally but disgusting inside. We had no choice but to take the car as there were no other options - really really dreadful overall service. Date of experience: 17 November 2023 Booking reference: Booking number: DC-6487547 Confirmation number: 684176E9206F13D Just to elaborate on the call to arrange shuttle collection - it was quite apparent that due there only being one guy at the Goldcoast depot (who was going on annual leave and it was late afternoon), this was obviously the reason as to why he didn’t pick up. The ‘lady’ at the call centre kept telling me that I was ringing the wrong number despite me confirming with her that I was calling the right number and had indeed gone through the correct pick up location selection option. After ending up talking to her second or third time I asked that she forward the call which she did and I then got to speak to Ben. Now I was told that due to the delays in them collecting my call, Ithey couldn’t send a shuttle (he was the only guy there really) and I had to get a taxi. Obviously, once my wife and I collected our luggage we found a taxi and paid for that ourselves….. The car we eventually have was simply a last resort, it’s covered 220000Km miles :(, not prep’d not cleaned and we simply took it as we were now becoming desperate. I wish I had paid more to get an SUV or something that might have been younger, cleaner, prepared and able to drive with confidence. We’re driving a long way in this car and I’m not confident about its reliability- we’ll see. I must admit it was a bit of an eye opener whenever we turned up at the family wedding in it :) I look forward to hearing back from you.
