Paypal decide in my favour, and agree "9" isn't "12"
Following from my last review: Lakshmi Stores, despite all the evidence provided, refused to grant the part-refund, but wished to consider dialogue about it even after I have spent, or rather wasted, several hours collecting and giving them information, photos, further explanations, etc. Paypal.com, on the same information, have just a few minutes ago sent me the following email: FROM PAYPAL.COM Dear xx Case closed in your favour. We reviewed the case you filed on 23 May 2022 (Item wasn't as described) and on the basis of your information and the seller's response have decided in your favour. We've issued a refund of £11.50 GBP to you today. Dispute case ID PP-D-150841588 Transaction amount £45.98 GBP Dispute amount £11.50 GBP Transaction date 19 May 2022 Item description 12 PCS xx FRUIT Item quantity 2 Seller name Lakshmi Stores and Traders Limited Transaction ID 00V54847E5485254P Item dispute reason: Item wasn't as described This case is now closed. Thank you for working with us. Paypal Inc. ====== Moral of the story: (a) Check the Trustpilot record before ordering. (b) Pay via *Paypal*, especially if for less than £100 (below that limit recourse to your creditcard company is discretionary). Everyone makes mistakes. But even if this was only a mistake, the seller should then rectify it, instead of arguing with or "explaining" to me that they were selling on a weight basis even though everything stated was re quantity/number. Paypal (well done!) saw through all this nonsense and decided in my favour. The fruits themselves are of good quality, medium-size (which was as expected), packing was adequate and the delivery was very speedy. I have no complaints about any of that. For that reason, I am rating it 2-stars rather than 1 star. I will now instead leave Paypal the 5-star review for doing what Lakshmi should have done. I hope they learn from this - the lesson is simple, supply what you said you would supply, rather than changing the rules after the event.
