System says "No"

Thursday, booked Halfords "TyresOnTheDrive" service. Paid £267.78p for a 0800-1200 slot the day after next, Saturday. On Saturday, the mobile technician, called to say he had only got one of the two tyres I'd ordered on board his van. I said, come and change the punctured flat, at least we would be mobile again, and we could do the second one another time. But he couldn't do that as we'd booked 2 tyres not 1. I pleaded but to no avail, he told us we'd have to rebook. Eventually got through to "Vic" who told us the first/best available slot was Monday 1200-1400 plus a paltry £14 refund/discount! Not happy, sub-standard service, never again.

It gets worse - DVLA fine!

Like everyone else, inadvertantly logged on to this site and thought I'd paid my road tax. That was the 24th Feb. Then I received another "Immediate Action" letter from DVLA telling me I still owed the tax. I looked into it and only then realised I'd been scammed. People at BARCLAYS told me numerous customers are being similarly stung. So I paid the tax owing immediately. BUT, this unintentional late payment has resulted in a £327 DVLA fine! Anyone else in the same position?
