My skin was severely tore
I had a very frustrating experience on 05/10/25 during a Brazilian wax (Central Park location-VA) appointment. The wax specialist pulled the wax while it was still wet, which caused it to break midway and tear my skin. It was extremely painful in the moment, and although the specialist apologized, I initially let it go because I had seen her before and she had done a good job in the past. However, once I got home, I noticed the area was bleeding and looked badly injured. The pain worsened significantly after I took a shower. I returned to the EWC today (05/11) to report the issue and request a refund. The front desk had me complete a complaint form, and another wax specialist inspected the affected area. I was told to wait 48 hours to see if the skin improves—and to see a doctor if it doesn’t. As of now, no refund has been issued, and I’m still in severe pain. This has been a very upsetting and painful experience, and I hope EWC takes appropriate action.
