HALIFAX / LLOYDS LIE
When Covid hit in 2020 I was left unemployed. I contacted all of my Credit Card companies which included The Halifax Mastercard. I asked them to freeze all interest on my debt, explained that I had undergone a Nervous Break Down and asked for them to bear with me. The Halifax were all so caring with their OTT “we care about your mental health more than anything else in these trying times (Lockdown). We agreed to stay in touch over the phone for status updates on my mental condition and ability to secure a job and repay the £4,000 + debt. I settled the debt with one payment in March 2023 as I inherited some money. I have recently found out that this greedy, lying treacherous bank put a credit default against me in early 2021 which has messed up my credit score and worsened my mental depression (with suicidal thoughts). I complained by email to Jayne OPPERMAN (Director of Consumer Services) and Charlie Nunn (CEO) on 8th May 2025. I have received a response following an internal investigation carried out by Lloyds Banking Group as of 16th May 2025 whereby they have lied, denying our agreement to stay in contact via phone calls, justifying the Credit Default and offering me a laughable good will gesture of…..£30.00 whilst refusing to fix their incompetence and making my credit rating GOOD! As of today I am filing a complaint with the FOS and making sure a review like this is posted on all Consumer Review sites and forums,
