Absolutely disgusting service.

Absolutely disgusting service. In November 2022 I rented a 1 bedroom house in the Tempest area of Waterlooville. After 6 weeks of moving in I was being kept awake at night with noises in the loft and walls so I installed a camera and found it was infested with rats. I decided I could not stay in the property so moved out on the 31st Dec 2022 and reported the problem to Beals on the 2nd January 2023. 3 months past with me not residing at the property and beals sending various maintenance people and Council in to resolve the problem...The rats were still there. The owner of the property was not happy the problem had not been resolved and decided to take the matter into his own hands and get his own people in, in the meantime I am still not living in the property. After a further 3 months the pest control company and owner thought they had resolved the issue so I moved back in. All was quiet for a week then it started again. Camera back in the loft and caught more rat activity (tracking powder and bait also taken) so immediately moved out again. The owner of the property was unhappy that I was not willing to live with rats then decided to deny and problem and I terminated the tenancy. The whole experience has left me considerably out of pocket and I have had to pay for storage of my furniture as I had no place to go. WHAT I FIND TOTALLY DISGUSTING IS THAT 2 DAYS AFTER HANDING THE KEYS BACK TO BEALS, THEY HAVE READVERTISED THE PROPERTY KNOWING THAT IT HAS AN UNRESOLVED RAT PROBLEM SO WHOEVER MOVES IN IS GOING TO EXPERIENCE EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH. I HAVE 6 MONTHS WORTH OF PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF RAT ACTIVITY IN THAT LOFT. THE LATEST AFTER THE LANDLORD AND BEALS SAID THE PROBLEM HAD BEEN RESOLVED. SO IT SEEMS BEALS ARE NOW DENYING THERE IS A PROBLEM AS WELL AS THE OWNER. I had decided to draw a line under this whole situation as Beals could not have known there was a problem when i moved in, but they do now...(I have six months worth of dated video and every single communication between the owner and Beals to prove it) but it seems they couldnt care less and will rent it out regardless. I would have thought Beals had a duty of care for their tenants but it seems not as they are prepared to let out a property with an unresolved rat problem. I wish I had never got involved with Beals and this rental from hell and shall be taking this further to recoup the amount of money I am out of pocket due to this whole scenario.
