TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I’d first like to preface this review by saying I have never given a single bad review to any business before. I am however so disenchanted with this company that I feel an honest review may in fact help someone else from experiencing what I experienced. I received an automated email from Hazelton’s Canada after my purchase asking me to rate the service and I rated it very low. It is interesting to note that my review is not seen on their company website review page. I ordered a gift basket and wine. At the checkout process the order went through. I received a statement from both the courier and Hazelton’s that my order was shipped. Both statements indicated two items were shipped and delivered. The recipient received only one portion of the gift, and the second was never delivered. Upon looking into the matter further it was discovered that Hazelton’s did not process the second portion of the order yet sent me a confirmation saying the whole order was processed and shipped. The recipient of the gift knew in advance that the gift was ordered. Upon talking with the customer service agent I suggested that perhaps they could make up for their error by shipping out a replacement basket which I would gladly pay for but that I would like it to be shipped free of charge. The particular agent was not willing to entertain that idea. I’m hopeful my bad experience will prevent someone else from dealing with this company.
