Disappointing
Three hour time slot provided, and I was called to say the van would be c.30-60 minutes later than the time I was given. I appreciated the phone call. When the van arrived it had gone to an incorrect property, despite me providing the What3Words location of our front door, and written instructions on how to find our - admittedly - long and narrow lane. I walked up to meet the van and explained how to get to our property. This required some reversing which was clearly beyond the skills of the driver, so the van was left at the top of our lane leaving a c.80m transit to the house pushing the item on a delivery trolley. When at the house, the driver left his colleague and walked back to the van, leaving me to unbox the item with the second delivery man. It's a hot day, they'd clearly been working hard for several hours, and we do live in a difficult place. However despite the excellent facilities on the BJS website to leave directions and a What3Words address this is of no use if it's not followed by the delivery van. The employee entrusted to drive the van needs to have basic reversing and turning skills, and a more collegiate approach to delivering items needs to be taken. Unfortunately these two let the side down.
