Appalling!!

Appalling in store service at what I am assuming is JD sports ‘Flagship’ outlet in the Trafford Centre, Manchester. It’s a big store… and it was always going to be busy on a Saturday afternoon, however, and please correct me if you think it is unreasonable to wait 30 minutes for a pair of trainers to come from the stock room? I asked the assistant several times if they were coming and he said they were, JD also have a screen showing the picking status of your chosen footwear but this was totally inaccurate. Shoes finally arrived, brought by another assistant who was carrying a stack of mixed orders for other customers, some more of which had been waiting longer than I was! The assistant wasn’t apologetic at all, just said that he wasn’t allowed to move from his station. Shoes were then sent to the till where we went to pay. Now, this gets better… the girl serving us checked the shoes sizing to that on the box and they were different. Size 6 on the box, 6.5 were the shoes… and no more genuine size 6 left in store! Now the girl serving us was brilliant, genuinely apologetic and caring. Very young but her communication skills were amazing, beyond her years! Might I also add that there was a noticeable lack of management around, just kids doing their part time jobs… which, gauging by what they do is just walking back and forth and not doing very much at all. I look forward to some kind of response…
