Poor Communication
The first point I need to make is that they did ultimately get my house sale completed during the Coronavirus lock down which is an unprecedented time for all of us so I do appreciate this. However, the initial process was hard work and we were assigned 3 different case handlers before the process began. My biggest concern throughout though was that the house sale was due to a breakup and the paperwork was only ever sent to my ex - I had no visibility of it at all and none of the documents carried my name. This meant that the initial paperwork was completed with my ex receiving full value of the house sale. This was subsequently corrected but at the point of exchanging, all money was due to be paid to him again (this was not shown on documentation, I found out because I double checked before signing) and additional paperwork and charges were then produced for us to be paid individually Throughout the process, I was entirely reliant on my ex updating me and sending documents across which was less than ideal.
