Antarctica January 21st 2018 FAILURE

Looking forward to this one after booking over 12months in advance with a few days in BA first. Move on in time few days before we go email arrives (Houston we have a problem) Itinerary has been altered from 4 stops to 3, Falklands pushed back a day Ushuaia a bit later in the day and P. Madryn dropped, cause faulty propulsion but gong ahead at reduced speed until they can repair it at our cost and the only option is a repayment of 1/14 of the cost of the cruise. Actually arrived at Ushuaia and disembarked 17:00 to do the Garibaldi Pass tour, back on board 23:15 dark after 20:00 but just yo say we had the required shore time they stayed until 02:00 great. Saw Antarctica yes great now we are off to see penguins on Falklands but we are told bad weather ahead, been before so know the lay of it and have a sneaking suspicion it will not happen, some how he keeps going that way instead of diverting and giving us P. Madryn stop but no he is time wasting to the point neither is an option, only one thing left go to Montevideo not what you really want from an Antarctica and Penguins cruise. To be fair the crew really had to work hard to keep us entertained and passengers were not happy when Stanley was missed so in so instances they must have felt the brunt of it. That could have been avoided by an announcement from our alleged Captain with some thing from Celebrity but no and to this day with people complaining nothing even when a group had a meeting regarding it they were going to lock 2 passengers in there cabin. With the original itinerary we were happy to book under the new one I would never have booked it. 4 stops original what we got was 1 in day time and (1 evening and night). No compensation was given for the Falklands because it was stormy yet had we been there on the contracted day (which we Booked under) it was good weather. We actually had a Cruise Critic meeting on board which members of staff attended including THE Captain but they were going round questions put to them and we never got straight answers. They made it quite clear after when contacted they will make no compensation so contacted my tour agent and it cost us for 2 persons £1000.00 to cancel the September cruise on Summit out of NY and will never sail with Celebrity or any of the company group again. My suggestion to the company is sack the Captain and hire Captain Jack Sparrow with his wooden compass, he has a better chance of finding land. If you are thinking of booking remember it may go all but if it does not this is the treatment you get unless it seems you are departing U.S Ports as on previous Propulsion problems (over 40) the Coast Guard will not let it sail. Could be wrong but seems that way than they have to cancel and refund. Not got the option of NO STARS
