manipulative and deceitful
After eight years of paying into this policy without ever making a claim, I finally requested reimbursement for a dental treatment. According to the paperwork, I’m entitled to £100 per year for minor treatments. The total cost of my treatment was £71 — yet I was charged a £50 excess, meaning I received a grand total of £21. To add insult to injury, I’ve just learned that this has been marked as a claim. When I signed up for this policy, I was explicitly told that dental reimbursements were excluded from claim records — they weren’t considered claims. Now, suddenly, they are. This is nothing short of a joke and only highlights how manipulative General Medical has become. It’s clear the terms and conditions have changed since 2017 — and it makes me wonder what else has been quietly altered since the day I purchased this policy. Do you really think I care about that £21? Of course not. Keep it- G&M!!!. But rest assured, you’ve lost a customer — and I sincerely hope others see through these practices before falling into the same trap. 17.3.25 Quick update: G&M flagged my review as not complying with Trusted Reviews' guidelines—essentially, they didn’t like what I had to say. Unfortunately for them, Trusted Reviews decided to keep it up. Thanks! 😊
