The psychiatrist was flexible and able to understand me. It was helpful that we could find additional times to continue the evaluation, and I really appreciated the urgency of the process. This process was costly, but nothing beats the short length and attention. I see it as paying for timely services. I felt vulnerable sharing my trauma history, but the provider was soothing when discussing these topics. However, it seemed that certain symptoms were attributed to this. Considering all perspectives, this is not uncommon in the mental health field, as I work in it. In comparison to my extensive family history of ADHD, it’s important to be aware of all aspects. Overall, I believe the provider made informed decisions throughout the process and helped me learn about myself. I was also able to get the additional help I needed by presenting the report to my mental health provider and general practitioner.
