Reserved one night in the hotel for a romantic city break with my wife. Hotel is very central and all staff I interacted with were professional and friendly. We had a drink in Motley, and received what we would describe as some of the best cocktails we have ever had! The room was functional, clean and fit for purpose. I also tried the breakfast which was value for money and a good quality. The stay had a 'dark ending'. After we departed the hotel my wife noticed she had left her mobile phone on the bed with her spectacles. I contacted the hotel within 45 minutes of our departure and prior to the time the room was due to be cleaned to notify the hotel of the loss. I also turned on the 'find my phone' function on the phone where I could see the it still in the hotel. I communicated with the hotel immediately via email with reservations and telephone with reception, though I did not receive any calls with an update despite reception promising to call me back many times, I could see the phone location in the hotel. Though I did not receive any calls about the phone as I was promised, reception did notify me that the spectacles had been found but not the phone, even though they were side by side on the bed! I did not receive one call despite spending a large amount of time calling the hotel. Finally some four hours after reporting the phone loss to the hotel the unit was turned off.
