If you're thinking about going here...

If you're thinking about going here as an online student... 1. Admissions folks are very helpful in telling you what you need to do & what will transfer. If something you expected to transfer doesn't, then you can have them review the syllabus of your class. 2. Registration is done through your advisor. You generally can't enroll yourself in class. That means you don't get to compare instructors ahead of time. 3. Classes are 8 weeks long each term. 4. All classes have a writing component, even Math. 5. If you need a lot of detailed instructions, you are probably better going somewhere else. This program is set up like independent study + some interaction through a discussion board. 6. The instructors are hit or miss. Some seemed to have been let go by other academic institutions--the "Rate My Professor" has been terrible for my instructors. They don't get better at SNHU, but the administration doesn't seem to care. People who say it's "student centered" which is true of everything on campus except the classroom. 7. You can join extracurricular activities & clubs even as an online only student.
