Not good for children below 11 years
Unfortunately, our family has encountered several issues trying to enjoy the facilities at the gym. For reasons that were not communicated to us, the gym manager decided that children aged 8 are no longer allowed to use the crèche service. We were not informed of this change and continued to book the space at reception as we normally would. The following week, when we arrived to drop off our daughter, the crèche manager confronted us in front of her and other parents, stating that she was no longer welcome. The situation was both embarrassing and upsetting, as it felt like we were being accused of wrongdoing when we had simply followed the usual process. After this incident, we attempted to bring our daughter with us to the gym while we trained, but she was asked to leave the space, which left her in tears and deeply embarrassed. When we approached the gym manager to ask what options were available for our daughter while we attended classes, we were shocked by the response: we were told we could leave her alone in the reception area—an open space accessible to anyone. As a family-oriented gym, this approach is not only unacceptable but also raises serious concerns about child safety and customer care. If you’re a family considering joining a gym in the Warwick area, I would strongly advise against Nuffield. We sincerely hope a competitor will step in to offer a more family-friendly and professional service. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and our daughter is still feeling very upset. No family should have to go through this kind of treatment.
