Nine months to buy leasehold
I was referred to Talbots by the mortgage broker (who was truly excellent so I trusted his advice) and it took me nine months to buy a leasehold property with no chain. Talbots didn’t answer emails, they didn’t progress the purchase without multiple chasers and calls from both myself and the mortgage broker, and I ended up having to do emergency paperwork an hour before a funeral, and three days before the stamp duty increase deadline. I was ready to move, the seller was ready to leave, all the money appeared sorted - nine months to complete. Do not use this company.
