I have had one of the worst experiences with this organisation. I am now at over £4000 loss after having to leave the course not completing the first year. This was due, as with many, to changes in my personal circumstances which could never have been foreseen. The lack of support and empathy from 'student support' was awful. They seemed irritated by my concerns raised throughout the duration of my time on the course. Refusing to offer full answers to questions and at some points refusing to take phone calls and only responding via email. I opted to pay for the course in full, up-front. This was a mistake and I strongly urge anyone looking to use this provider to pay monthly. According to their latest refund policy they would seek to retain a large % of the whole course fee from you but not all of it whereas if you pay in full, even if you only attend a few classes, you'll never see your money again. This is a three year programme with three separate courses. The first to focus on hypnotherapy. When I signed up to the course it was under the expectation I would be doing face to face classes. This never happened as I started in May 2020. Despite things opening up at points during my year all classes were held on zoom and I printed my own materials. Our tutor was not good, she struggled to answer questions and shut down opinions different to her own. I understand other tutors on this course are better however it's pot luck, there's clearly inconsistencies in the quality of their staff. At the point I needed to make a decision about whether I leave the course as I was contemplating the need to increase my hours of work I asked chrysalis support to clarify what refund I would expect. They REFUSED to answer and pointed me to their terms and conditions which I can only say I must have misread. Biggest mistake of my life. I thought I would be due some refund based on what I read and so in good faith withdrew from the course. Only then would the support team communicate with me to inform me I would be getting no refund ... After not a single class face to face, less than a year completed of a 3 year course and a support function who avoid answering even the simplest question... How 'chrysalis not for profit' could ever claim they made no profit out of me I'll be very surprised. Please be warned. This organisation are supposed to advocate for mental health - it's disgusting how they treated students particularly during the pandemic when people's circumstances will have changed so much through no fault of their own. Shameful.
