Still the best
20 odd years ago as a young man I used to go to Chase for all my music equipment, production gear and general advice. Without fail I’d always be greeted with a smile, was advised to what I needed (usually something much cheaper than I had anticipated) and was never made to feel ignorant or intimidated in the way that often I would when going into the domain of an expert. My questions would always be dealt with kindly and on the rare occasion that something had gone wrong with a purchase it was resolved quickly. I would always recommend the shop to friends and family members but I moved away many years ago and so had not been for some time. This afternoon I have found myself back in town as I need to plan for my father’s funeral and found myself in need of a cable to connect a laptop to a PA, once again I was greeted with a smile, offered a warm handshake and was sold an adapter rather than a cable to save me a few pounds. I’m so glad to see that this business is still around in a Northern Quarter that has changed so much and that the same attitude has remained. I recommend this place to anyone, an unassuming cornerstone of Manchester music culture.
