Please do not use this company! I can honestly say no matter how much you feel as though you need the extra support with finances, please do not approach buddy loans. There is always other ways. They state in their adverts / letters / advice that if you need financial help or you cannot pay that they are there to help. They are not. They are uncooperative and will not offer any other solutions apart from you having to go into mass arrears and result in defaults. I discussed my current circumstances with them (I was on SMP) and all I asked was to either reduce the monthly amount or extend the time of the loan because my circumstances would be back to normal once returned to work. They did not want to know. They would prefer to build up arrears and harass you and your guarantor constantly, even though I repeatedly said, my circumstances would be better once back at work. They add things to your account without then making you aware at the time, so then when you attempt to resolve any issues, they have piled up. Please please please do not use this company!
