I ordered a GT Line S DCT in mid January 2022 (direct from the dealer on a personal lease deal) due to the widespread supply chain issues at the moment the car had been understandably delayed. I then received some good news in October, the car had been produced and was being shipped. I was informed that the car was ready and being registered ready for collection on Wednesday 19th October. However I received a call on Tuesday 18th October that they was a problem. The car that had been shipped was incorrect, the spec was not to what was ordered. Infact the car received was a German spec GT Line which cannot even be registered in the UK. So myself and many other customers who have waited almost a year are now without a vehicle. Which has left my family and I without transport as our current lease car is now being returned (already had been extended twice). The dealership has been helpful but they are still waiting on a solution from head office, whilst myself and other customers just have to wait. Its unacceptable for a brand with the reputation of Kia for this to have happened on such a wide scale. I would say by the very least customers are offered some sort of compensation or at the least a car of equal or higher spec as a matter of urgency. Infact the original order should be fulfilled as a matter or urgency, however I don't know how feasible that is given that the G-Line S has now been pulled from the UK market). Shocking service.
