Untrustworthy

Initially, I was impressed by Clive Edwards during the valuation process. He presented himself as approachable and professional, providing a valuation based on his experience and local market data. However, once I signed on, his attitude took a drastic turn. Within a week of the first viewing, Clive suggested a significant reduction in the asking price, citing market changes. It became evident that his priority was to secure a sale at any cost, solely for his commission. His arrogance and dismissive attitude during phone conversations were unacceptable. One particularly egregious incident involved a viewing with potential buyers who requested to send builders to assess the property. Clive failed to communicate this to me, leading to a group of strangers showing up unannounced. When I denied them access, Clive misrepresented the situation to the buyers, resulting in lost trust and a lost sale. The eventual sale, to a second buyer, was marred by Clive's manipulative behavior and resulted in a reduced price. ----------------------UPDATE------------------------------ I feel compelled to respond to Cameron's reply, as Clive Edwards has misrepresented the facts while omitting vital information. Clive has had the opportunity to reflect and apologize for his behavior; however, he has chosen a defensive tactic of denial. This behavior not only reflects poorly on himself but also tarnishes the reputation of the entire profession of estate agents. It is imperative that his actions are exposed, and thus this response will remain public to ensure potential customers are aware of what Cameron Uxbridge is capable of. It is evident that Clive continues his pattern of behavior, which he exhibited during the marketing of my home. Clive has made generic allegations and shifted blame onto the customer instead of reflecting on his own manipulative behavior. Fact 1: The first house sale fell through due to Clive providing false information to the potential buyer. He failed to inform me that builders were coming to view my house, and I had every right not to allow strangers into my home, considering my child was living with me. This information was then miscommunicated to the buyer, leading them to believe it was my "unreasonable behaviour" towards them. Despite my written complaint, Clive refused to acknowledge his error. Fact 2: Clive initially valued my home at just below GBP 900,000, but within a month, he asked to reduce the price by almost GBP 100,000, blaming in his response the Bank of England's interest rate increase from 0.1 percent to 5.25 percent. However, let me correct Clive: the Bank of England rate did not increase to this extent within a month. I repeat, within a month! Fact 3: Clive refers to a High Court order without providing proper context. I initiated my divorce, making me the petitioner, and the estranged wife was the respondent. An agreement called a "recital" was reached to place the house on the market, which is not an order. Clive is using incorrect information provided by the estranged wife to manipulate the situation against me- the customer, instead of remaining impartial during a difficult time. Fact 4: I requested a new TA6 Form from the first conveyancer as the estranged wife had manipulated the original form forwarded to the potential buyer. Despite informing Clive and the conveyancer to inform the buyer, they failed to do so. Clive conveniently omits the information regarding my bank statement, clearly showing the transfer of fees to appoint the second conveyancer into the estranged wife's account. This omission further demonstrates Clive's use of false information and his failure to address matters appropriately. Fact 5: Perhaps most disturbingly, it appears that the sale of my property has been manipulated. Despite my repeated attempts to contact Cameron's and Clive via email to provide vital information to the purchaser, my requests were ignored for months. However, just before a court hearing, I suddenly received a reduced offer, coincidentally one day, a Sunday, prior to the scheduled hearing on Monday. This directly resulted in substantial financial losses for me. Clive has had ample opportunity to reflect on his behavior, yet he persists with his aggressive and manipulative attitude. As an estate agent and a human being, he is a total failure
