False advertising of 2-star hotel with raggedy torn yellow curtains.

I wrote the following comments on the night of March 15, 2023, when I received an email from booking agency. I made sure I kept a copy of my comments, and emailed them to my email address, which I am inserting here now from my email sent to myself on March 15, which were the comments I made in giving feedback on the Wallaceburg Inn, Wallaceburg, Ont., where I had booked 2 nights and was overcharged from their advertised rate of $98 per night. I happened to pick travelocity booking, and when I received confirmation, the total cost was switched from $98 plus tax to $135 per night plus tax. I feel this is false advertising. The room was only rated as a 2-star hotel, and I only selected it because it was close to conference I was attending located about 5 miles away from Wallaceburg, Ontario. I wrote these comments on Mar. 15, and when I returned to the room in the afternoon of Mar. 16, the curtains that I video-taped on my cell phone were taken down from the windows. I had decided to take a picture of them from my room for evidence, as I did not trust the owner, after being told my room was costing me a higher rate than what was advertised. She said her normal every day rate was $135 per night, and that I would of got a better rate of $120 per night if I just walked in, instead of booking online! The reason I booked online was to get a better rate, and instead I got a higher rate! Not fair! So this is what I had written, and I believe the owner removed my comments, then removed the torn raggedy rotten curtains of my window in room 117. I am now inserting the comments I made on Mar. 15, 2023: complaint about room rip off When I booked the room, I was expecting to pay $98 per night as advertised through travelocity. When I booked it showed the price as $2l5.00 plus tax. I was told that the total cost for room was $305. the owner said that the room was $135 per day not $98 as it was in US currency. I never would have booked this room for $305. In other words I got no discount at all in booking through travelocity, as the normal rate per day is $135 anyway. I feel I was ripped off. I also feel I need to be reimbused, and charged only $98 per day, as this is what was advertised when I originally booked the room. I did not look at the itinerary that was emailed to me when I received it, because I was expecting the cost of the room to be what I had booked. I have never experienced this before as I usually book through hotels.com and the price that is stated when booked is the price that is on the itinery that is sent. This is not fair and I consider it false advertising, because I booked the room for two nights at $98 per night and was charged $135 per night instead. I am also a senior and feel this is really unfair treatment. What was the use of me booking a room to get a discount, when in fact, I got a higher price, that I did not agree to when I booked. I will try writing a letter or calling travelocity to explain this unfair treatment. I also made a video of the curtains from room 117, at the wallaceburg inn, on mar. 16, 2023, but I don't believe I will be able to insert it here. I feel I should be reimbursed for the extra money that was needlessly charged. Other people was be being ripped off as well. The owner said it was in American money, but I did not book it under the US country of origin. I booked it under Canadian origin. I recently looked at various booking sites, and the $98 per night is still being advertised. I can email the video if you give me an email to send it to. The date of experience was Mar. 15, 2023, after I checked in, seen the room and got the email to make a comment about my experience received, as stated above. Thank you
