Nexo + DiPocket : Breaking Mastercard Rules
Hello, Never use the Nexo card (partner of DiPocket) to pay for your purchases; if you encounter a problem, you will probably lose your money. I made a fairly large Vinted purchase involving collectible cards. I encountered a major problem when reporting my missing items upon delivery. Unfortunately for me, I didn't understand that I had to report the problem to the platform 48 hours after delivery. I contacted the seller, who himself attested throughout the conversation to having sent the wrong package through his wife (I received a lousy card worth a few cents for a lot worth over €4,000), I collected all the evidence proving the bad faith of the seller and the Vinted platform. I forwarded everything to Nexo, who was very responsive and asked me to sign a form. From that moment on, I felt reassured, but then the first few weeks passed and I found myself without a response. The delays were becoming abnormal for getting any response on my file. I had to follow up 4 or 5 times a month to be constantly told the same thing: The request has been forwarded to our card partner, we are waiting for the response. Until today, I received a response informing me that the procedure would not be possible after verification with the issuer and the card network. It is completely scandalous to wait 30 days to get such a response, knowing that my purchase is now two months old. I let you imagine the colossal waste of time that this entails. But what is more, what they are telling me is completely false since the Mastercard network offers protection for this type of incident under reason code 4853 (Merchandise not received) and the documentation I provided explicitly demonstrates that the seller scammed me and that the sales platform took no action. They do not respect European consumer directives and the rules of their card provider Mastercard. It is totally pathetic. In short, they use a very questionable and uncooperative card partner. I'm still shocked that I waited almost 30 days for a poorly detailed response. This would never have happened with a reliable provider.
