Awful installation and bad customer service
I called to enquire about the scheme and a surveyor engineer visited very quickly. The installers arrived a few days later. The boiler was fitted. The remedial works to brickwork, cupboards, worktop and really any area they touched needed to be rectified by a professional as it was all done to such a poor quality you couldn't even call it entry level diy standard. The boiler stopped working that evening so I called the installer to be told it was "it's not my problem don't call again". Suddenly I couldn't get anyone to answer my messages after being so keen at the start. I had no option but to call the manufacturer and they came out and said that the boiler was fitted to a pipework system that was unsuitable for that combi boiler and the surveyor should've allowed for all this. The engineer also said the boiler needed moving as it was sitting just above worktop height and it couldn't physically have a service as he couldn't access it internally. I had no option but to get the boiler moved, upgrade my house pipework and have the entire area made good by a decorator....... All at my own cost. I understand things need to be sorted after work is completed but this was everything! PLEASE get things in writing like I asked for but never got. It ended up costing me more money than if I'd have just paid a local professional to do the whole job. I hate being negative but this really did turn out a nightmare!
