I thought a lot about writing this…
I thought a lot about writing this message because I don't like to waste my time with negative things but it is very important to write this review for two reasons. The first one, is so that people know what to expect when hiring the services of MEXICO CAR RENTAL and Keddy by Europcar and so they are not surprised by the mediocre and very unprofessional service they could receive. The second reason is for these companies to improve their services. At Easter, I hired the services of Keddy by Europcar through Mexico Car Rental (third party). They charged me for a reservation and gave me a confirmation number to just pick up the car at Keddy by Europcar on April 8 at 8:00 am at Circuito Juan Pablo II # 3107, entre Calle 31 y Calle 33 Sur, Col. Las Animas C.P. 72400, phone:222-169-7475. I called Keddy EuropCar two days before April 08th to make sure the car would be available, when I called I was answered by a woman who kept me on hold for a long time to the point that they just hung up on me, I called back and asked her not to hang up on me, that I was just calling to make sure the car would be ready for pick up. She asked me for the reservation number and she couldn't find my reservation in their system. I explained to her that I made the reservation through Mexico Car Rental and she was not able to give me any good answer, so I decided to call back the next day. I called again the next day to make sure they had my confirmation and reservation ready, they put me on hold again for a while and finally they told me to come early and they would see about the reservation. I arrived with my family, bags and everything ready for my Easter vacation thinking they would give me the car since I had already paid for the reservation, and they told me to come early for the car. Turns out that when I arrived, there was a line of frustrated and stressed people complaining about the bad service of this company. I could hear how some people who did not speak Spanish were very upset because they had been charged twice and looked very upset. In front of me a couple was waiting to pick up a car for and left very upset because they were told there were no cars available. Seeing this, I knew I was not in for anything good, so after waiting for over two hours listening to the frustrated people and me also already very frustrated it was my turn. They basically told me that there was no car available, that it was high season, and even with a reservation there is no guarantee that they would give you a car and to call Mexico Car Rental because I had not made the reservation with them, etc. I asked the manager or supervisor, and I explained my complaint and he told me the same. I had my reservation confirmed and paid, I called twice to make sure all would be good with my reservation, I was not the only person waiting for a car, we were at least 6 families affected in that window time I was there. I traveled from California for a vacation with my family, I had to cancel hotel reservations at the last minute, change airline tickets and pay extra fees for the changes I made. Not to mention all the stress, frustration, and nasty experience with these two horrible companies caused me. Their staff is unprofessional, they DO NOT care about you, your time and money. They do not respect the customers and they do not appreciate your business. I hope that what happened to me does not happen to other families and that is why I am writing this review. Look for other alternatives that give you guarantees and DO NOT use third party companies like MEXICO CAR RENTAL. They charged me for the reservation and until today six months later I did not get my money back.
