Sooner or later.. the mask will go off
The biggest example of wolf in sheep’s clothing has to be Lemonade Insurance. My experience with them has been nothing short of appalling. Initially, they lure you in with a sleek app and promises of quick claims, but behind that polished façade lies a company that seems more interested in dodging responsibility than providing genuine support. Communication is abysmal; queries are met with automated replies or long delays, and when you finally speak to a human, they seem untrained and dismissive. Claims take forever to process, first a painful phone call with a lady asking every two seconds to repeat why I’ve said. Interrupting me just to asked me : why do you carry your electric toothbrush in your beauty case when you go with out the bike? With that inquisitive a judging tone that you litterally ask yourself “Am I having a stroke?” After this phone call, time one week and another phone call from the SIU (special investigation unit) to say we needed to schedule a 39/40 minute call for me to tell what happened. All of this while the bike insurance already approved the bike And the gear, while Lemonade was trying to resuscitate Freud to ask him WHY I was carrying a perfume and an electric toothbrush in my under armour backpack. I missed the call of the Spanish Inquisition, and the email I received was: call us back or we arbitrarily decide you are not interested in the claim anymore. Just keep the money, babes. In short, Lemonade Insurance thrives on appearances while delivering disappointment. I would strongly advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere before wasting their time, patience, and money.
