As well as working in financial software development, I was also an IFA and mortgage advisor for nearly a decade. I've also bought and sold personally as well as developing a number of properties along the way - and my opinion on the traditional model of the Real estate industry was they take large fees, while providing little value or effort for the amount charged. In the case of this sale, I'd been quoted £4800 and £4650 from traditional agents prior. Tom also phoned around and got me a good deal on the home report, saving me around £100 on what was quoted from the others. This sale wasn't easy and a number of things went wrong, but I was assigned an individual sales manager (Robbie in this case) who was with me through the sale process and went out of his way a number of times to get things done on time. When Robbie was on holiday, other members of the team stepped in, communicated well and did what was required as it happened. Any questions or concerns I had were answered quickly too.
